The Power Of Positive!
In light of all the uncertainty going on in the news about tariffs, recession, doom and gloom, we share a powerful message from author and speaker, Jon Gordon.
Jon’s message is a powerful reminder about controlling what we can control and committing to positive vs negative!
Check Out Our Video Of The week – When Things Get Hard

When the pandemic hit, my business came to a screeching halt—100% of it gone in just days. I remember pacing around the house, checking my phone as email after email brought another event cancellation.
At first, I muttered, “Darn.” A few more emails in, and it turned into “Dang.” By the end, well… let’s just say my words weren’t exactly positive.
Fear set in. I had employees relying on me. A team of speakers facing the same cancellations. I even wondered if the speaking profession as a whole was over. No one knew what the future held, and I was bracing for the worst.
My wife tried to reassure me. “It’s okay. We’ll get through this.”
But I wasn’t convinced. “No,” I said. “This is bad. I think we’re done.”
Then she looked at me and said something that hit me like a lightning bolt:
“Aren’t you the guy who writes all these books about positivity? The one who encourages others to stay optimistic?”
I nodded.
“Then maybe,” she said, “it’s time to start following your own advice.”
That moment changed everything. I made a choice: I wasn’t going to let fear win. Instead, I committed to staying positive, expecting the best, and being a source of encouragement—not just for myself, but for my team, my community, and everyone who followed me.
I reached out to clients, offering to inspire their teams for free if needed. I focused on serving, not selling. I went back to the mindset I had when I first started speaking—believing anything was possible.
Every week, I shared uplifting messages on social media, my podcast, and this newsletter. I even hosted a free webinar that drew over 100,000 viewers. One phrase I kept repeating was:
“I’m not buying the doom and gloom. I’m investing in faith, hope, and love.”
What happened next amazed me. I became busier than ever, delivering virtual keynotes and Zoom sessions. Leaders and teams reached out, looking for guidance. To this day, people tell me they discovered my work during that time.
One new client, who had 500 employees back then, told me their team was struggling with fear and negativity. But by following the messages in my books, podcasts, and newsletters, they stayed positive, led with optimism, and shared that mindset with their team. Today, their company has grown to 3,500 employees.
That one decision—to stay positive—changed everything. Not just for me, but for countless others.
In difficult times, we all face a choice: the negative road or the positive one. The road you take will shape your future. I encourage you to choose the positive road.
It’s the decision that can transform everything.
If your business needs marketing that works, give us a call. We're here to help!
Have a great day unless you chose otherwise!
